In Part 1, I told you why you should create informational products, and why those electronic products are better than traditional print books from a bookstore. This is an extraordinary way to make money online. In this article, I’ll share five great tips so you can create your own profitable information products.

Tip 1: Think of the trade your customers are making.

Your customer is making a trade, his money for your knowledge. Make it easy by offering your customers something truly special. E-books on making money are always popular, and many customers are willing to pay $47 for an e-book that explains how to make $4700, save $4700, or keep $4700 more of their income away from the tax-man.

They willingly pay $47 to learn how to do something quickly and easily. On the other hand, they are unlikely to pay $47 for your old baby pictures or an article on darning their socks. See the difference? By finding out what they want, you are in a better position to offer them a great trade for their money!

Tip 2: Tell the Customer HOW Your Product Will Help Them.

Will the information in your product:

earn more money from home

save their money

save people time?

avoid common pitfalls

If you can include one or more of these angles in an information product, you will have a real winner on your hands!

Tip 3: Turn One E-Book into Many Parts

Break your current info products into smaller sections, then sell them all together. Sound crazy? It’s not! Your client is spending $47 – would he rather get one e-book, or a series of three e-books? Give him three books, and he will feel as though he got more bang for his buck. What a great value!

Tip 4: Make the Purchase a “No-Brainer” – Add Bonus Material!

OK, so you have an information product ready. Now go out and look for a few similar products that you can offer as bonuses. Now your customer is getting a $47 e-book plus $500 in bonuses which he can download and read at his leisure. These bonuses don’t cost you anything, and they are easily delivered. Plus, you gather even more email addresses for your growing list – after all, you need their email to send them the bonus material!

Tip 5: Sell first to those who have already bought from you.

Many online business owners spend countless hours pursuing new clients. Meanwhile, existing clients may fall by the wayside. Don’t let this happen to you! You already have a loyal client base; now, it’s time to reconnect with them.

So, start with a niche. Ask that niche what they want. And then start creating information products that satisfy the itch they are ALREADY telling you they have. It is a blast and you will achieve expert status in your niche in no time at all!
