There have always been mixed breed dogs that vary in looks, temperament and size even when they come from the same set of offspring. Usually these dogs are referred to as “mutts” and they are much adored. They frequently have impressive health and they make great pets.
A mixed breed dog is not a purebred and it may not be known if the parents of the dog are purebreds. They are fundamentally dogs from an indefinite parentage and a uncertain heritable line. They are commonly sharp and wonderful and they make great pets but their ancestry is mysterious.
