Herbals are plants that are natural source for medicine and wellness. During the past, our forefathers use herbal plants to cure sickness among the community. Knowledge of herbalism is passed on from generation to generations. Tribes usually have “witch doctors” among them whose main task is to cure the sick tribes people and research the surroundings about other medicinal possibilities.
In Rehoboth, Massachusetts there is an annual 10 month long program on the study of Herbalism and its subdivisions. It starts on January of this year and ends on October. The course aims for people to understand better the basic and advance studies on Herbalism. It is pioneered by Charles Cochrane a certified Herbalist. The study also aims to increase public awareness on the significance of Herbalism in people’s everyday lives and its contribution to the society.
