Oprah has made them a cultural phenomenon. With her book club she has brought the joy of reading to the forefront and has publicized new authors and books in a way that has until now never been accomplished. But what exactly is a book club?

Essentially, a book club is a class of persons who set up a meeting to discuss literature. These persons like to have passionate debate about literary themes or messages in the books. They similar to argue what they liked or disliked about a book.

For most book clubs they are according to all of the members reading one book at the similar time. The members decide the book that they are going to talk about they set out how much they need to read before their next gathering.
